Modular Buildings

The Modular Buildings line is the steadiest long-term hold LEGO makes. Since Café Corner in 2007, one large, intricate building has arrived almost every year — each retiring after a few years and climbing on the secondary market with unusual consistency.

Collectors treat the unbroken series as a single position rather than a set of individual purchases. An early sealed Café Corner or Green Grocer now trades in the thousands, and the line’s reputation for holding value is the reference point against which other themes are measured.
